Things to consider to help keep costs low for your wedding...
One thing to consider when you are looking at or considering venues, is the time of day your wedding will take place. Most weddings take place in the afternoon, however, if you are willing to consider a time outside of this popular afternoon spot, there may be savings to be made.
Some venues who do not normally cater for weddings, may be willing to offer their venue to you for your wedding before they start trading, ie in the early morning, or after they have finished trading for the day, so an evening wedding may be the way to go.
This may also offer you an opportunity to have your wedding in an unusual venue, if you are willing to think outside the box a little bit. If you spot a venue that you like, but they do not advertise themselves as a wedding venue, you may be able to have your wedding there, if the venue agrees, and they meet the criteria as set out by the governing body here in Ireland as being normally open to the public, see further details here.
